A: this joystick come with a square gate. Ans it is 4 ways already.

**Q: Why does it say made in china? And not in Sanwa box?**
A: it's not made in China, it is made in Japan. please check the explanation that comes with product.

not in Sanwa box?  --> When we purchase, SANWA does not include color box. for the color box you see from internet. that's made by 3rd party. i doubt if they are Genuine or if they are authorized to do this. ours is the way when we got from SANWA. not extra work. only professional knows about this point.

**Q: Can i use this sanwa joystick to replace cheap diy arcade kit with usb interface to use with raspberry pi 4?**
A: The Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT is one of the most quality universal joystick available.  So much so that there are many Sanwa clones.  So to answer your question, yes, you can absolutely use this with a raspberry pi 4, though it won't be the only thing needed.  You'll possibly need a different USB conversion kit, though the one you already have likely would work just fine.
