these are very sharp they are very thin and look like they will break but they cut through meat like butter. i used the paring knife to cut steak off a tbone while it was raw and it sliced it like it wasn't even there. i don't know how long the edge will last but i hope it lasts a while

My ceramic knives don't seem to last! I don't know if somebody breaks them because they can be brittle but they have disappeared on me. So I bought another colorful set again. I love their sharpness. I love their color. I love the bread knife even though I've already got one. I wish the chef's knife was a little bigger. but the price is well worth it. there's so much sharper than regular steel knives. I'm glad that I bought this set.I have a special ceramic knife shapner, even though you might NOT really need 1 - ever.
