**Q: Does this measure the diameter**
A: Measure the circumference and divide by 3.14

**Q: Is this the model 950 or 950rn?  the description state it has the release nail, but i want to confirm before purchasing.**
A: I don't believe it has a release nail.  It had a horseshoe nail and I believe it was the model 950

**Q: Does this have a locking mechanism so the tape won't automatically retract?**
A: No logging tape has a lock, it would defeat its purpose.

**Q: I ordered one of these model 950 and received a model 950mer which is metric.  if i order another one what will i get another metric tape?  thanks**
A: Is it standard on the other side of the tape? The 950 we ordered was in feet and inches. Maybe the mer behind the 950 means metric
