We have 4 rows of std 6 x3 bdick, to surround fire pit frame? How much product do I need

If you use standard mortar to hold/secure the brick and only need ~1-2” deep mortar joint I think you can get by with 1 tub

Can I use it to tile the Woodburning fireplace heath?

No, ProSpec® Refractory Mortar is a specially-engineered blend of specific cements and aggregates giving the mortar unique heat-resistance and thermal characteristics for use in high-temperature applications such as inside fire pit rings, setting chimney clay flue liners, parging a smoke chimney chamber, and setting fire bricks. It is not to be used for tile setting mortar.

how many bricks can you lay with 10lb.

A 10 lb. pail of ProSpec Refractory Mortar will lay approximately 16-20 standard fire bricks at 1/8 in. (3 mm) joint thickness.

Nice Product at a Good price !

Nice refractory motar at a good price!! Only thing I caution against is using it on a very hot & humid day. I do understand that the directions caution you against using it in that type of weather and does not recommend it, but we gave it a shot anyways cuz we were kinda on a time frame to get a specific job done. It ended up working out pretty well, but I recommend if you do like we did and use this product in the hot weather, that you keep the hose or a bucket of water close by to prevent motar setting up to quickly!! We learned quickly to keep adding a little bit of water and it keeps the motar smooth & workable. This mortar will definitely set up quickly in the heat. Functionality: Works very well & easy to use when mixed well and kept moist.
