We got two of these to keep our dog out of the kitchen and they were so easy to put up. They fit in each of our different sized doorways and they fit very snug. They're made out of metal so they are also very sturdy and hold up to my kid lifting herself up on it sometimes . Very versatile for different doorways they give you the stuff to fit whereever. This gate is great for all ages but maybe not if you have hand mobility issues. It does take some movement to get it open but my parents who are in their 70s and my kid can do it with ease. It works great once it’s set up, but there are a few things I wish I’d known before buying it.This isn’t the kind of gate you can pop in and out quickly. It’s more of a semi-permanent setup. You can remove it, but when you do, the end pieces will fall out, so it’s a bit of a hassle if you plan to move it often. If that’s your plan, you might want a one-piece gate instead.Once it’s installed though, it’s very sturdy. The pressure needs to be just right or the door won’t close properly, so make sure you measure your doorway and figure out which extenders you’ll need before setting it up. It took me a little trial and error to get everything aligned, but once I did, it fit perfectly. My doorway is 38 inches and I used both extenders.Now that it’s in place, it’s doing exactly what I wanted, the dogs can’t run out or bark every time someone walks by the backyard. Huge win! The gate door itself opens easily for adults, but it has a double-latch safety feature that would also make it great for babies or toddlers.Overall, once you get it set up, it’s sturdy and works really well.
