We like that they are shorter, thick and triangular shaped to help with gripping. We also like the quality of the wood used and also the way the graphite writes, it’s very smooth and also very dark without having to apply so much pressure. They are a must have for beginner writers. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Starter Pencils! (We’ve tried lots) *by on Reviewed in the United States January 24, 2021* These pencils are perfect for my beginner student. The pencil is the right size, not too angular and best of all the graphite is dark enough. With normal pencils or other “kindergarten” types, the graphite is too light leading kids to write harder, causing frustration and tiring of the hand. This one writes smoothly and dark EVERY TIME with much less effort.The only downside is the eraser isn’t perfect. It’s not bad by any means, but there are other erasers that do a nearly perfect job. However, I’d never trade these pencils over the eraser. We simply have a small eraser on hand.
