Is it really worth paying $400.00?? Thanks!

Well, you can't wear it. So if you are into $400 mantle pieces, yes. It is very well made, but it just sits there. I was really hoping to be able to wear it. It's basically a statue.

Can it be modified to flip up and have a hidden switch to reveal butler's quarters?

Hello, Thanks for your question. We don't recommend making an alterations or modifications to the Dark Knight Batman Special Edition Cowl. Thanks for your interest in our products!

Can anyone suggest the best way to clean this....especially as I suspect the "rubber-ish" coating might come off. Thanks!

Hello, Thanks for your question. We recommend wiping it down with a damp cloth and immediately drying it. We hope this info is helpful to you. Thanks for your interest in our products!

could you put on the cowl if you can how tight is it

You can not put it on. It is display only. It looks really sweet in my man cave so I love it. Only problem with it is the price. I think it is too expensive but I had to have it.
