Review: Very versatile and sturdy! - I love this tablet case! It is so versatile! Strong, good quality, I can turn it anyway I want. I read in bed and I can turn my ipad anyway I want to make it more comfortable for how I am sitting or laying in bad! I am using it to write this review. The bottom with the built in keyboard is the base that holds my ipad any direction I want it. I love the pink color. It’s easy to setup and easy to use. If you choose to use the built in keyboard, it works great and is easy to use. Great value for the money!
Review: IPAD 8 Gen keyboard case - This keyboard case is simply amazing. It feels like its made of metal. But it was a bit tricky to pair at first. But I got it pair to my IPAD 8 Gen, which uses bluetooth 4.2. As long as the device that is connecting to it, is the same or older, it will pair. I even got my Bose Soundlink 2, an old, old speaker that Bose stopped making, that came out in 2014, and had to get a speaker that would actually pair to my Sony Vita handheld game console. The trick seems to be that once you turn it on, to press and hold the pair button immediately. But only for 2 seconds, and then it will show up in the Bluetooth devices list. Now the IPAD for whatever reason has to be snapped back into the case itself, on corner. As the IPAD 8 Gen, is approx 10 inches; I choose a keyboard case because I wanted it all built in and for something to close over the IPAD's screen; but make it to where the IPAD sets up like a laptop. Now you need the IPAD OTG (apple lightning 8-pin) adaptor to run things like a flash drive, and to still charge, get a PW port. That particular model, uses USC C to 8-pin lightning. Such that they sell the adaptors here on desertcart for those who wish to upgrade the port, via the adaptor; like if you just wanted to use a USB C cable. The pictures posted by others is what it looks like. Now a tip - try to not rest your hands or arms on the mouse pad, as it minimizes the app window your in, or jumps the curser all around. I'm still learning the ropes of Apple, since I'm an Android user. Though I will stick to Android for phones; and was offered the IPAD since my friends where all upgrading. IPAD is nice :) but way out of my budget. LOL I never cared much for Android tablets . EEK. I thought apple would be so restrictive, but like all of my Google accounts, g mail, google calender, all of it, is accessive with the app installs. And I can listen to MP3s with the help of VLC app. This case is wild man. I like the 360 and the many angles, its a lot like a thinkpad.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the case made of? What kind of material? Plastic?**
A: The case is made of Polycarbonate and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene.

**Q: I love this keyboard, however, I may have to return it as I'll be typing an email and all of a sudden, it takes it off the screen. Any answers why?**
A: I think it’s because you inadvertently hit the touch pad. That happens to me too, then I have to be very careful to keep my fingers off the touch pad. This is extremely annoying, and there may well be a way to turn off the touch pad, but I haven’t found it yet.

**Q: tried pairing the keyboard but it did not work. Anyone have ideas or suggestions?**
A: Pressing the pair button twice but it didn’t work.the small user manual said to hold it down for three seconds. It worked

**Q: What kind of wall charger can I use? Can you recommend one**
A: I use android charger

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid Performer
*by S***C on August 5, 2025*

THE GOOD The case holds my iPad 9th Gen snuggly and securely, though it is a little harrowing to remove from the case once it’s in there. Initial pairing via BlueTooth is quick and easy. I had no issues with connection or latency once it was paired. Once the iPad is paired to the keyboard it will automatically connect once the keyboard is activated and powered up. There is a slight delay, but it’s only enough for you to miss a key stroke or two. I’ve learned to compensate. The 180 degree rotation is a nice touch and is useful for when I do want to draw or take notes. The screen hinge feels sturdy and holds the tablet at your set viewing angle without drooping. I’m taking bets on how long that holds, though. The keys are tactile and have a good amount of travel when typing. They are mostly silent, but that also depends on how aggressively you hit the spacebar. The added pen holder loop is a nice touch. I’m one of a handful of people that I know that actually uses the pen, though. Your mileage may vary. THE MEH It is bulky. It is heavy. It does make having the iPad feel more like a mini-laptop, which is the point, I suppose. It’s slightly thicker than a standard M1 iPad Pro 12.9” with an authentic Magic Keyboard, if that helps. When you are first using it the joints can be stubborn. I’ve worried that I am over torquing things that that I will break the screen mount from the keyboard. Try not to be an ogre. The keys are also a bit cramped, but that’s life when you are dealing with a 10” device. With that in mind, it takes some training to avoid the trackpad when typing. I did struggle a little with the cursor jumping around, but it’s lot better than some of the third-party Samsung Tab keyboard sets I’ve tried THE BAD Nothing, considering that I got this for less than $40 USD. My only real gripe is that there are other “brands” of the same unit selling for upwards of twice the price and they offer the exact same experience. The keyboard is a bit generic; hard plastic and no frills. I don’t need anything too fancy as I use this for a short emails, writing up social media scripts, and light video editing. Because we are locked in landscape mode the camera is centered and off to the left side, which does make web calls and face time a little awkward. THE GRRR I’m not alone in being frustrated with how some apps on tablets (Apple and Android) only work in portrait mode. With that in mind, using this with native social media apps is a no-go as we can’t use the keyboard and rotate the screen orientation (or at least, orient it to maximize the screen use). In order to use the keyboard, all of your sites need to be accessed through a browser. Luckily, the iPad aspect ratio allows for better viewing of webpages than the smaller Android offerings. Still, for the iPad 9th gen, this is a solid set up: easy to use, intuitive to navigate, and quick to get used to. How does it compare to the competition? Like I mentioned, there are multiple “brands” that sell this same shell configuration. I have not tried them, but some do look to use better materials (this one seems to be made of ABS, which is a little brittle). Other options offer a “Magic Keyboard” feel that uses a rubberized case around the iPad with a metal mesh in the back to magnetically link to the keyboard (I have tried that one). This is a great concept, but it’s super top heavy and the magnets aren’t all that strong. Honestly, while it offers the “Magic Keyboard” aesthetic, it falls short in application. Those also start around $70; twice what I paid for this sucker! For my money, this is the best way to use an older format iPad with a BlueTooth keyboard. That said, it really depends on what you want out of your device. For productivity, I think this form feels most familiar. I use the Google Office suite to type things up (I’m not used to the Apple ecosystem) and its easy enough to use. Video and clip editing is pretty clean with the trackpad, though I tend to use either a mouse or the touchscreen. For entertainment and light gaming it’s a bummer (due to weight, girth, and clunkiness), though why you would insist on a keyboard case for that over a standard folio is a bit of a head scratcher. If you’re using the older iPad layout, this is a good option. If you have the A14 10th gen or the newer A16 11th gen, I would skip this case format and go with a third-party magic keyboard style. I have one for my newer A14 10th gen and I love that thing.
