Sous Vide Standard

I wanted to try sous vide, but wasn't sure if it was something for me and didn't want to spend a lot to try it out. At about $60 this circulator certainly fits that requirement. Another thing I wanted was to be able to control the time and temperature without having to use my phone. That seems like an unnecessary complication and expense when I can just push a few buttons on the top of the circulator to easily set everything. I used it several time since I purchased it and it has always worked flawlessly. It is easy to set the time and temperature and it holds the temperature perfectly steady throughout the cook. It has everything I wanted or needed. Very happy with it.

I bought this when my old stick died. The old one needed constant babysitting, you had to push a button when it got to temp, you had to add new water every few hours and you could hear it from the next room. This one is awesome. You turn it on and it goes. No waiting for it to get to temp so that you can “start” it. It is very quiet. The first few times I used it I thought it had stopped because I could not hear it, but when I checked on it, it was still pumping away. It also does not require water to be added as often (probably because it does not stir up the water as much.) Overall, I am quite happy with it.

It was wonderful while it lasted. I bought this product on 29NOV2025 and it failed me on 16MAR2026 when I was trying to follow a corned beef sous vide recipe that cooked for 48 hours at 140 degrees F (It lasted 26 hours then the heating element died). Originally, I purchased it for making L. Reuteri cultured dairy (long, 36 hours at low temps). It worked beautifully. Then I continued experimenting with meat cuts as well as cultured dairy. It struggles with long hours at higher meat temps. It is very easy to set temperature and time which I very much appreciate. The noise level is not an issue - a low hum that I don't notice as I have it set up in a room that is not occupied. I can't recommend due to the length of service. However, when this product worked, it worked very well.... until it didn't.

Worked great for a year and a half and quit mid cook. The power light is red and I can't take it a part to see if it is fixable.

My first use resulted in two perfectly cooked Filet Mignon steaks. Bathed them for 1:45, removed them from the vacuum bags (I checked the internal temperature with a probe and all points checked out to 131F) and put them on a 500F griddle for about 2 minutes on each side. I chose this particular brand because of the wattage, the number of positive reviews and the price. For my needs, I didn't want to purchase one of the more expensive ones, as I saw no real difference in the written descriptions for each machine. This model seems durable and well made, time will tell.

Easy to set and use. Would recommend to anyone wanting a simple or starter sous vide cooker. Cook some pork chops with this and you be hooked!

This holds temp accurately and circulates quietly. Controls are easy to use. I use a rectangular sous vide tub with a silicone cover and I love that this is narrow and fits within the hole on the cover. This is my fourth sous vide unit since I started out with my first Anova in 2017. We'll see how this one holds up over time.

By far, the best sous vide machine of the 4 I've used. Simple to operate. Others required a precise keypress sequence, or it defaulted to previous settings. This one is easy. Light weight, small profile. Easy to store. GREAT temp range (32-194F). Others only 68-194F, too high for defrosting fish. 3 minute warning when done. Others were much shorter, and sometimes missed. You don't need to spend a lot for a great machine.
