## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the ingredients of the solution used to kill the flies?**
A: Active Ingredients: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (0.08%). Inert Ingredients: Vinegar (5.00%), Water (94.92%).

I suspect you could refill these with diluted Apple Cider Vinegar and unscented dish soap to break the surface tension like the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate does. Seems a waste to throw them out without experimenting.

**Q: Will this work with knats in the house ?**
A: It worked for me. Had a bunch of them around my cats food and litter box. They'd drive me crazy flying around my face. Now there's only been a couple in the last week.

**Q: Flies flew all around traps, but not in them. Terro says that means they're not fruit flies, but they're too big to be gnats. What can they be? Help!**

**Q: Does this work for ants as well?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked great at capturing and controlling the fruit fly population in our kitchen this season..

First of all, these fruit fly traps are very effective. Much better than the LED light with the sticky pads style. We had a real problem with fruit flies this season in our kitchen and I tried both of these methods to gid rid of them and these traps from Terro did the trick. At first I was disappointed because they did not seem to trap many fruit flies. In fact the little apple shaped container was covered in them, but they did not want to go in. After about the 3rd day I noticed more and more floating in the liquid dead until finally it seemed that we did not see any more fruit flies buzzing around the kitchen. It could just be the end of the season for them, but either way I am glad that I ordered the four pack so that I am ready for next season. When I opened these for the first time I could smell a weird vinegar smell and the contents inside was wet and sticky. One of the liquid pouches was leaking and some of the stuff leaked out. I just added the remainder to one of the apple containers along with a full one and left it out to do it's job. Now there is a bunch of those pesky fruit flies floating in the liquid and I rarely see any still alive. Bottom line.. These are very effective at trapping fruit flies. It is very easy to assemble and get the liquid into the apple shaped container. It does smell like vinegar if you get close to it, but it is not bad. The price is great for a four pack and much cheaper than the less effective LED plugins with the sticky pad. I can recommend this product.....
