It keeps the base elevated for better airflow and prevents scratches. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ps5 stand *by P***N on 15 June 2026* Perfect fit the ps5 ..Easy to fit ..good product for the money ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product, but mis-leading! *by L***. on 23 October 2024* Only giving this 4stars instead of 5stars due to mis-leading advert of what this product actually is. These fit perfectly on the Ps5 and raise it up, they are absolutely rock solid as is the Ps5 when they are in place and it means you can ditch the silly round base with the screw that came with the Ps5. So it's ideal for that, especially given that is 100% how you should have your Ps5 sitting, if you have it sitting vertically it will 100% cause issues eventually due to the liquid metal on the main chip basically seeping off the chip as it melts, keep your Ps5 vertical and eventually you will have overheating and random shut downs... This is an absolute GUARANTEE! The reason I'm not giving it 5stars is because this and any other product on the market, even those with built in fans makes absolutely ZERO difference to the cooling of the Ps5 due to its design. It's not designed like any console previously where you had a fan pushing hot air off the cpu and out vents. The Ps5 has a system where all the air it uses is drawn in the sides of the front face, you can see the fins down each side of the black face plate. This air is then pushed through a one way system of channels inside the system then blown out the back. There is no way to affect the main cooling fan, even with external fans that claim to cool the system, it's all false advertising. Lifting the Ps5 off the deck as this product does makes zero difference to temperature or cooling, air flow is not required anywhere on the Ps5 except directly into the face of it. So claims it helps cooling are just garbage and false.
