I have this tool on order (Knipex 13 72 8), but I don’t see anything that leads me to believe it can strip the outer jacket, so if you want that functionality, you will need to use a different tool. Personally, I don’t mind that, and will supplement it with a tool that can strip the outer jacket as needed. Nevertheless, from everything I have seen and read, it appears to be an excellent, forged tool with a very useful set of features. **Q: How is thread damage prevented if the screw cutters aren't threaded? Anyone have experience cutting lots of screw with it?** A: You cut the screws at an angle. This keeps this from getting burred up. **Q: Are these spring loaded?** A: Yes, the product features an internal spring. ## Frequently Bought Together - KNIPEX Tools 13 72 8 Forged Wire Stripper, 8-Inch - KNIPEX 74 22 200 Comfort Grip High Leverage Angled Diagonal Cutter, 8-Inch, Angled, Comfort Grip - KNIPEX Tools - Long Nose Pliers With Cutter, Multi-Component (2612200), Multi-Colour, 8 inches --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/452043098-knipex-tools-13-72-8-forged-wire-stripper-8-inch](https://www.desertcart.no/products/452043098-knipex-tools-13-72-8-forged-wire-stripper-8-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
