Black Metal Book Holder

As of now, it does what I wanted and expected it to do. It holds the paperback cookbook. It has adjustable positions for if you want it straight up, slightly back, or further back. It does feel slightly flimsy and lightweight but I don't want to dock a ⭐ until I've used it for awhile. I got it to be able to fold up and store away because it's slender and takes up less space.

This book stand is sturdy, lightweight, and easy to adjust. It holds books securely and makes reading or studying much more comfortable. The foldable design is convenient for storage, and the quality exceeded my expectations. Perfect for students, cooks, or anyone who reads frequently.

Very light weight! I like that. And the color of the paint was very true to the pictures. It looks very cute on my desk and it's working nicely for me overall. However, there are some things about it one should know. A very thin/stiff paperback book will want to fall out. You'll either need to spend time bending the book into shape, or get extra clips/clothespins or similar to hold one edge of your book to the top of the frame. I also found the black rubber feet on the bottom book-holding part to leave slight dark marks on some of my pages. Don't take them off, as the metal tips alone can leave indentations in the paper. My solution was to cover the dark rubber feet with some washi tape that matched the colors of my book stand. It looks cute and works well for my purposes. The stand can also fall over easily if jostled. But for $5? It does the job. I'll keep using it. A lot of the nicer ones were $20+, so maybe someday, but this is great for tossing in my bag and letting me read during my work breaks.

Love this book stand. I bought it to hold my music books for when I practice my guitar! It works great!

The metal is not as deeply stamped as shown in product photos, it does little to enhance rigidity; mine even came pre-bent because Amazon always manages to pack something heavy in the same box as fragile items, I had to undo two bends to make it flat again. There's a lot of play side-to-side with the wire ears. Opening the kickstand for the first time caused paint to flake off at the joint, so it's not really an enameled coating, it's just paint. I think I was oversold on how useful this would be, but at least I bought a cheap generic copy instead of the full price name brand item.

I bought this product to hold a textbook next to me while seated on a bed with a laptop on my lap. In the most reclined position, this product holds the softback 400pg textbook at a great angle to follow along, shifting my eyes from textbook to laptop and back. The one drawback to this product is that the legs that hold the book should be separated along the axle, so that they could move independently of one another. I am currently working in the first fourth of my book, so there are more pages one one side than the other. The holder legs cannot be adjusted to hold the smaller side because they are stopped by the thickness of the larger side of the book. This is not a deal-breaker for me. I only noticed it because my kitty is lying next to my textbook, so the book isn't sitting level. Overall it's a sturdy but lightweight product and I am pleased with my purchase.

Looked very cheap upon arrival. Quickly discovered how useful and sturdy it is. Held up a 3lb book fairly well. Can adjust to different angles. I like that I don’t have to touch my book as often when reading the recipes. Even has a sturdy page holder to keep pages from turning. Overall a great buy and fits the budget!

I'm really not that happy with it. It's ok for small books or hard back books. But it doesn't offer enough support to adequately hold up the medium sized paperback text book I need it for. I have to hold the half of the book I want to read up because the frame isn't quite wide enough. If it was one or two inches wider it would be better. I wouldn't buy this again.

I usually use a Kindle for reading as it can be rested on a table since I suffer with arthritis in my wrists. However, there were a couple of books I wanted to read that were only available in paperback, so I bought this stand to hold the books which were too heavy for my hands. This isn't the sturdiest of book rests, but it was cheap enough that I bought it just for a couple of uses (although there may be more in the future) and it's served its purpose very well. The only small drawback is that the "pegs" at the front aren't adjustable, so if I had a very thick book they probably wouldn't be suitable. However, that's just a small point.

A bit more lightweight than I would like, but holds the book upright. I would like another notch to put the book up straighter, but overall works well.
