From the minds of Alejandro Jodorowsky and Moebius comes their seminal work, The Incal . This iconic graphic novel has been the inspiration behind many science-fiction works and movies, and is now presented in gorgeous, oversized format. This deluxe edition contains: - Beautiful black-varnished slipcase with cap featuring gold foiling and art never before used as a cover - Linen finish-bound, gold silk-printed book containing the entire 320 pages of The Incal plus a bonus short story from creators Moebius and Jodorowsky: "In the Heart of the Impregnable Metabunker" - Linen finish-bound, gold silk-printed portfolio featuring two prints of one of The Incal 's most iconic scenes - The Ascent to the Interior Sun. Features all of your favorite heroes of The Incal in both color and black and white, highlighting Moebius' exceptional linework and his original French lettering. - Ribbon bookmark The Incal is soon to be a major motion picture directed by the award-winning Taika Waititi ( Jojo Rabbit , Thor: Ragnarok ). Review: What's the fuss about? - I like Jodorowsky's films but... what is so special about The Incal? It's a pretty dumb story with dumb dialogue and weird ugly characters. The drawings by Moebius are sometimes impressive and he has a unique style for sure but... eh. Not my cup of tea overall. It was actually pretty tedious to get through and I found myself forcing myself to complete chapters just so I could get to the end of the book and move onto something hopefully better. At no point did I find it poignant or emotionally impactful. It was just one "crazy" scenario after another. It was probably an inspiration for the fifth element film and given how superficial and vacuous that film was, it makes sense. Review: Missing portfolio - Be careful-I opened this on x mas day …. And no portfolio….its a big book and now have the hassle of returning…also disappointed in the lack of response/any good will gesture from Humanoids ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | 975,613 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) 759 in Individual Artist Books 7,377 in Horror Graphic Novels (Books) 9,242 in Crime & Mystery Graphic Novels | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 54 Reviews | ## Images ![The Incal: The Deluxe Edition - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Dcg3iYBzL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐ What's the fuss about? *by M***1 on 30 March 2024* I like Jodorowsky's films but... what is so special about The Incal?
