A: yes, the valve can works in air system

**Q: Can this be used on a submersible 600gph water pump for the basement?**
A: This is a small check valve used for something like allowing a vacuum to be pulled in a single direction.  It would not be appropriate for use with a fluid pump unless it is simply being used as part of a venting system to remove air from the pump prior to use.

**Q: Do you install before fuel pump or close to carburetor**
A: Hi, it depends on your application, it usually installs close to the tank but you can put it closer to the fuel pump if you want. in any event it goes before the fuel pump as your trying to stop flow back.

**Q: Will this fit to Mazda Protege 2.0? Reference: 8574-20-309**
A: This check valve will fit any 1/4 or 6mm fuel line.
