And it can also be a speaker for your phone which is awesome, the battery probably lasts 7-8 hours unplugged, which is good because we've had the power go out at night and it doesn't even stutter it just switches over to the battery. And it's small so it fits in your bag easily but still has good sound quality and can get pretty loud if you wanted. THis can't be set to turn off? \** A: it has white noise (sounds like a continuous waterfall), ocean surf, thunder and rain, steady rain, rocky mountain stream, gentle surf, summer night, brown noise (just another type of white noise), woodlands, heartbeat. it doesn't have a feature to be programmed to turn off by itself. if you have it going for close to 8 hrs, it will switch itself to the next noise choice. **Q: Can you plug the USB cord into a plug adaptor so you can charge off an electrical outlet vs. a computer?** A: Yes you can.
