Well, it just quit again after many years of great service, so, luckily I found this newer updated version on desertcart, and so glad I did, as it is nearly identical. The thing I LOVE, about this light, is that the light beam is perfectly even, and diameter adjustable, and BRIGHT, man, is it bright, most of these headlamps are SO DIM, you need to light a match to find the beam!! Not this one. This one works so well that I almost wet my self when I turn it on!!! Love it!!!

A: This product claims 5,000 Lux. 
Lux is used to measure the amount of light output in a given area - one lux is equal to one lumen per square meter.

**Q: Is this headlamp explosion and chemical vapor proof?**
A: For a product to be rated as explosion and chemical vapor proof it would have to be tested and then rated and approved by the testing agency and the literature that came with the Atomic Beam had no such certification.

**Q: What is the warranted on item**
A: Sorry, I don’t know but for sure recommend this headlamp!

**Q: Does it fit on a hard hat**
A: Yes, the headlight perfectly fits most hard hats. Sometimes the vertical strap needs to be adjusted to make the headlight stable and prevent it from slipping off the hard hat due to strap tension. Sometimes side straps need to be tucked under the hard hat to do the same. Depends on the specific hard hat model.

The light is the best part of it. As it gets old the light won't work, think they need to upgrade the quality of the components. It lasted past the 1 year warranty and went out, adding the warranty protection is a must.
