How long does the macerator pump last? Your rep seems concerned using TP or hooking a washing machine will cause it to fail.

I've had my pump working about a year now with no problems. I don't think water from a washing machine will cause any problems. Its just water.

Can the macerating pump be connected to any toilet? What is its function by the way?
