I.M.S. produces a range of competition filters designed to bring out the best in your coffee. The SHAPE and PERFORATION have been designed to ensure ideal coffee extraction. The filter is bright and polished all around, even inside the holes. The bright and polished surface prevents dirt from adhering to it and facilitates cleaning. A filter without coffee residue allows for extracting only freshly ground coffee, rendering this phase of the process faster and safer, always guaranteeing an optimal result. Review: Night and day difference - As I upgraded to DF64 grinder, I just couldn't make the proper shot with the stock basket. It was frustrating, it was either terrible messy fast flows or complete clog, nothing goes trough. I almost went ahead to return the DF64. But then I decided to try with IMS, since I read it lets finer grinds and has a better flow. And there it was. Complete turnover. It was like a completely different machine. Finally I can fine tune my shots and take adventage of a better grinder. I'm thinking of getting a showerhead too. Btw, I'm glad that I went with smaller basket, since it fits more then the stock one. So if you are thinking of fitting a litttle more grounds than the stock, go with the 14-18g variant. It's more like 18-20.
Review: Un upgrade tecnico che si sente davvero in tazza - Utilizzo questo cestello IMS da parecchi mesi su una macchina Sage e posso dire che rappresenta uno degli upgrade più efficaci che abbia effettuato. La differenza principale si nota nella regolarità della percolazione: la distribuzione dei fori è realizzata con grande precisione e favorisce un passaggio dell’acqua più uniforme attraverso il pannello di caffè, riducendo il rischio di channeling quando la preparazione è eseguita correttamente. Dal punto di vista pratico ho riscontrato estrazioni più costanti e ripetibili, con una migliore capacità di evidenziare le caratteristiche del caffè utilizzato. Anche la regolazione della macinatura risulta più sensibile e prevedibile rispetto al cestello originale, permettendo di lavorare con maggiore precisione sul tempo di estrazione e sulla resa in tazza. La qualità costruttiva è elevata, con finiture accurate e acciaio ben lavorato. Non fa miracoli: richiede comunque una buona macinatura, una distribuzione corretta e una pressatura adeguata. Tuttavia, per chi prepara espresso con una certa attenzione alla tecnica, il miglioramento rispetto a molti cestelli di serie è concreto e facilmente percepibile.
