Can this brass plate be engraved? I want to make some custom shape name plates.

I suppose it would depend upon how you're doing the engraving. I've engraved brass with a Hermes setup and this material should work fine for that.

Do you sell one that is just slightly less wide? I need 1 7/8” wide instead of 2”

Can this bar be cold bent and shaped or will it break?

Any metal can be reformed with the proper amount of heat...

How course is the plate? Can it be polished? How easy is it to polish?

It is smith and can be polished easily I even ripped it in half and polished it after cutting it and it turned out clean and shiny. Turned the 1/4” thickness into two 1/8” plates with a hacksaw and smithed it out with a file and polished it down with files and steel will all the way to 16000 grit polish paper then on down to a leather strip with buffing compound. You could see yourself in it.
