## Description

The iOttie Dashboard Mounting Base is designed for use with the Easy One Touch series and Auto Sense mounts. Featuring a telescopic arm that extends from 5 to 8 inches and pivots 260 degrees, the Dashboard Mounting Base can easily be adjusted for a myriad of customized angles. Additionally, a rotating ball joint allows the mount head to rotate a full 360 degrees for optimal viewing on the road in portrait or landscape mode. The reusable suction cup mounts securely onto dashboards and windshields and can be rinsed in warm water to restore sticking power. Dashboard pad sold separately.

Review: Great phone holder - These things work great. The only downside, is the suction cup. This really isn't a problem with the product itself, but instead how we use them. We stick them to the windshield and leave them, forever. Full sun and heat in the summer, freezing temps in the winter. It takes a toll on the suction cup. After 2-3 years the cup becomes a sticky goo and needs to be replaced. No huge deal. You can replace just the suction cup and arm for about half the price of the whole mount. totally worth it every 2-3 years to have your phone locked securely during that time. (to remove the residue when the suction cup goes south, use a razor blade scraper to get the bulk of it off, then some kind of solvent like acetone to remove the rest - it's easy unless you just like to complain)

**Q: The adhesive on my iottie phone holder got too hot and will no longer stay attached to the dash. Do I need more adhesive, or just the dashboard pad?**
A: I have the same problem when the inside temperature got too hot, the VHB on the disc fell off of the dash. 

After reading quite a few reviews that reported this issue, I have been looking for the air vent holder for this model, I haven’t found one yet. I may just purchase the holder that comes with the vent attachment in the box.

However, I am going to try a clear adhesive for the dashboard mount hoping it will hold.

If the clear adhesive doesn’t work, the air vent attachment seems to be the last option.

Just be aware that I have no idea if this adhesive will hold the round disc to the dash in hot or cold temperatures.
