Black-Eyed Susan is easy to grow and has a wildflower habit. Direct sow by broadcasting, over a 10 sq ft area, outdoors after the last frost when the temperatures are reliably above 65o F. Rake gently and evenly, lightly tamping into moist, ally rich, well-drained soil in full sun. Keep seedlings moist with gentle watering or misting; and transition to minimal watering over time. Cut back spent foliage, leaves, and blooms after flowering to prolong vitality into the fall. Blend rudbeckia with sand to increase visibility during sowing.
