Inside are specially formulated crystals containing propylene glycol to chemically balance the humidity level in your humidor. The crystal gels inside expand after absorbing distilled water and contract when it?s ready for a refill! Dimensions: 6.5" x 2.5" x .75" Note: You will only want to soak your dry unit for approximately 1 hour on the initial fill. This is due to more effective crystals, which absorb the water at a faster rate and have increased water capacity. Each refill thereafter will only take approximately 15 minutes.

Review: Constant and consistent humidity - I've bought two of the Humicare humidor humidifiers. I do not use distilled water in the humidifiers, because they release too much moisture into the humidor. This will cause the cigars to mold. I use the "Life Style Basics Cigar Humidor Solution". This is an excellent solution to use with the Humicare beads. This combination keeps the humidor at about 70 to 72 percent humidity. When I first received the Humicare humidifier, I could easily shake the beads. I poured about 3 OZs of the Humidor Solution and let sit for 30 minutes to an hour. After the beads have soaked up the solution, then when shaking the Humicare, you can tell the beads are much larger and tighter in the humicare humidifier. This will last a couple of months before needing an infusion of humidor solution. Thus far with this combination, the Humicare Humidifier is an awesome product and well worth the money spent to keep and protect my cigar investment and enjoyment.

I've bought two of the Humicare humidor humidifiers. I do not use distilled water in the humidifiers, because they release too much moisture into the humidor. This will cause the cigars to mold. I use the "Life Style Basics Cigar Humidor Solution". This is an excellent solution to use with the Humicare beads. This combination keeps the humidor at about 70 to 72 percent humidity. When I first received the Humicare humidifier, I could easily shake the beads. I poured about 3 OZs of the Humidor Solution and let sit for 30 minutes to an hour. After the beads have soaked up the solution, then when shaking the Humicare, you can tell the beads are much larger and tighter in the humicare humidifier. This will last a couple of months before needing an infusion of humidor solution. Thus far with this combination, the Humicare Humidifier is an awesome product and well worth the money spent to keep and protect my cigar investment and enjoyment.

They work great and will buy them again. Now for the complainers when you buy this product open the case up and separate the beets and make sure they lay flat on the bottom before you add solution if your humidor is set right they last a couple of months before you have to rehydrate them again
