LED TV Backlight

I didn’t know my TV needed to be the life of the party until I got the GHome Smart SL1 TV LED Backlight. And now? I’m wondering why I ever watched Netflix without it. This smart WiFi strip light isn’t just mood lighting—it’s a vibe, and it’s compatible with Alexa and Google, which means I can boss it around without leaving my couch. 💁‍♂️ Let’s talk installation: If you can peel a sticker, you can set this up. The adhesive is solid, so it’s not going anywhere, but it’s not that "OMG-I-glued-it-wrong" kind of sticky either. It hugs the back of my TV like it was made for it, and the strip length is perfect for most flat screens. Now, onto the cool part—the colors! 🌈 This thing can do everything from calming blues to full-on disco mode. You can sync it to your music or set it to match what’s happening on your screen. Watching a horror movie? Switch to eerie reds for the full "uh-oh" experience. Playing video games? Go with some electric colors to really get in the zone. It’s like your TV goes from background furniture to the star of the show. And controlling it? So easy. You can use the app to change the color, brightness, or effects, and if you’re feeling extra lazy (which, let’s be honest, is half the fun), just tell Alexa or Google to do it for you. "Alexa, set the mood," and boom—instant atmosphere. Final verdict: This LED backlight isn’t just smart, it’s genius. It takes your viewing experience from "meh" to "WOW" with zero effort. Whether you’re a movie buff, a gamer, or just someone who likes pretty lights, this is the upgrade you didn’t know you needed. Your TV will thank you. 🎮🍿

I purchased these LED lights for my flat screen tv some months ago and yall they still work perfectly. No issues with installation as the directions were pretty simple. They are still going strong and very durable.

experimented with a lot of LED light strips, and this one truly stands out. The brightness is exceptional; it can easily illuminate an entire room with vibrant, saturated colors. Whether I'm looking for a subtle ambient glow or a dynamic party atmosphere, these lights deliver. The functionality is also top-notch. The app is intuitive and packed with features, allowing for precise color control, customizable lighting effects, and even music synchronization. The ability to create custom scenes and schedules is a huge plus, making it easy to automate my lighting throughout the day. But perhaps the most impressive aspect is the adhesive. It's incredibly strong and reliable. I've had issues with other light strips peeling and falling off, but these have stayed firmly in place, even on textured surfaces. The installation was a breeze, and I have complete confidence that they'll stay put.

I purchased this for my second TV because I like the first one so well. Fairly inexpensive compared to a different band that wouldn’t even allow it to work with the sound. The other brand that will remain nameless, claimed that it would work in sync to the sound of your TV but in actuality it wouldn’t. You could only use preprogrammed sequences. The Gosund Ghome Smart LED Light Strip plugs Into the USB port on your TV or you could plug it in to a USB adapter and then you could have a light blinking to the sound around you if the TV is not on otherwise when plugged into the television, it’ll only work while the TV is on being there is no power to the USB port when is off. The G home app is easy to install and if you have different sets of these LED strips, there is an option in the app so you can control them separately.

We installed loft beds and needed something to illuminate underneath in the desk area. These are perfect and have app connectivity which allows us to schedule on and off times and to even put them into party mode from my phone for a bit of fun. I will say that they will not switch over to a “white” mode by pushing the button on the base. That can only be done from the app.

I don’t normally rate or make reviews of products but this one is absolute grade a piece of junk. The app is not at all user friendly, it is difficult to figure out how to register which is needed to pair with Alexa or Google Assitant It took 10 tries to link the lights to my WiFi and phone, and the leds are not bright at all. Replaced my old set with this for the smart home feature it since I cant link an address there is no way to link with Alexa besides it won’t allow for imputing symbols for your password which is required. The adhesive is so tacky it won’t allow for readherance, the backing to the adhesive is close to impossible to detach and once you do it easily tears making it even harder to start peeling off again. Please buy somewhere else. Anywhere else.

OK, maybe I had too high expectations as I expected SL1 to be a shorter version of SL2 light strip as they are marketed as two versions of the same product. I was wrong. SL1 is very dim. The SL2 version met my expectations for applying the under-the-cabinet kitchen auxiliary lighting. SL1 does not. Unfortunately, I removed the adhesive tape and thus cannot return the product. In addition, SL1 cannot be set to produce white light by mixing RGB colors like other RGB strips can, including SL2. It is probably too dim even for the TV backlight but I did not test it in such an application. On the plus side, the LED strip is easy to cut and solder extension wires if needed.

The only dislike is the fact that the WiFi has to be 2.5G for it to connect and I wish it also come with a remote control. Overall, I got it to connect via 5G WiFi and it worked great. I have read some reviews and I wonder if people just hop on Amazon, see a product and buy without doing a thorough research about what they want to buy before buying. Save yourself the stress by doing some research, compare the item with other products before buying… because at the end, it’s not the seller's fault, it’s yours. The seller has made all the info about the item available and all you need to do is read.

Item is very easy to setup, but brightness is very dim even at max. Also true white color is not possible to achieve. Music mode also lame - it flashes, but slow and meaningless - not to the tune, but volume. Still usable otherwise.

Buena compra

Great product
