They don’t block all sound but they cancel out the higher pitched noises effectively. The biggest plus is that since we began using them, LO has become more aware of their sensory sensitivity and will ask for them without prompting. Anything that helps them adapt or cope as needed is a win in my book, and these have definitely done that. I think they would be too big for the smallest heads, but ages five and up should do well with them. They are a little bit clunkier than I had hoped, but they fold in on themselves to store.
