Review: Great workhorse - The iconic processor for "mid range" bang for buck rigs before AM5 came out. The 5700x is an absolute workhorse that's still more than viable today to run anything. As the AI boom has effectively destroyed the market I don't see AM4 going away for another decade or so and if you are slapping together a more budget conscious system then this is perfectly useable and budget friendly for all needs and will still remain relevant for the next few years. Thermals are fine as it's only 65w and frankly even stock wraith coolers are good enough to keep this well within tolerable levels. You can squeeze an okay amount of extra performance from it too with a modest overclock or even just pbo but it's boost clocks are pretty good already. I don't think I've seen it bottleneck on what would be it's typical card pairings like the 60/70 GPUs. Ideal if you are slapping a 1080/1440p system together or just want a drop and play option from say a 1700/2700/3700. Does work loads fine too and it's 8 cores 16 threads is overkill for most office based tasks.
Review: Great Value for Money - This is a great price for this CPU, and a serious contender if you're going to be buying a discrete GPU and building your own PC. Ryzen 7 5700X offers great base speeds with lots of cache on 8 cores, and will happily accept some tweaking and overclocking. Some folks have worried about CPU bottlenecking with higher-end GPUs, but this works very well with a 7900XTX, and bottlenecking is only going to be an issue with huge GPU demand and a lot of back-end processes or demand placed on the CPU. Cyberpunk 2077 in 4k at 200fps? Easy. This is a GREAT mid-range CPU, and the L3 cache (one of AMD's cornerstones) is the same as most of the 7000 series Ryzen processors. However, with it not being a flagship model, most lower- and many mid-ranged motherboards may not support the chip straight out of the box. But don't let that deter you..... If you opt for a motherboard like mine (MSI) and face a similar issue - needing to update firmware/BIOS - don't worry. Follow the video guides on YouTube and in manuals and you'll be fine. But remember: format a new, small USB2 drive in FAT32, Google is your friend for this and for checking a partition is MBR (if you're very particular), download the exact version of BIOS required, and rename the file AND extension as directed. If you then boot from a Windows Installation Media drive, you'll get a fresh install of Windows without any bloatware or rootkits from any device manufacturer! Very easy to install - be gentle and cautious (and consider an antistatic wristband), line up the triangles, and don't force anything. Stability is a proven strength, and Ryzen Master is a good monitoring tool; the CPU voltage remains constant after idling for several hours with core temperature peaking at 30°C. Make sure you apply the thermal paste evenly, making sure to avoid leaving a blank spot. Appearance-wise? It's a chip. In an unnecessarily large box. Clean install of Windows 11 and up-and-running in less than an hour. Don't forget this chip DOESN'T HAVE INTEGRATED GRAPHICS AND DOESN'T COME WITH A STOCK COOLER, but let the CPU do CPU things and invest in a GPU of your choice. Plus, if you're opting for a CPU without integrated graphics, you'll probably be doing something with the cooling, right? As others have said (and this review highlighted previously), there must be some issue with the desertcart/seller/logistics/delivery process. I had multiple notifications about updates to tracking, but nothing informative on the desertcart platform. I was told, multiple times, that it had been dispatched, or tracking information was available, which did cause me some distress and confusion when seeing other reviews. I strongly suspect there's some issue between the vendor's platform, desertcart, tracking/delivery service, and how their systems speak to each other.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I tried water cooling but when i poured water on my pc it doesnt turn on. is this not compatible with water cooling? i also submerged the entire pc.**
A: The suggestion below of using VOS water from a Glass bottle just won't help. Don't get me wrong it is an ultra classy way to water cool but it won't help your framerates... What you need is to Jetwash the CPU, just go to town and fire the water everywhere. The CPU will be so intimidated by your water cooling prowess that it will run Doom Eternal 4K Ultra Nightmare at 1000FPS with no GPU installed. Intimidation is the key!

**Q: I paid £540 for my 5900X. This scalper price of £800 is insane and these practices should be made illegal.**
A: Current price is £382 as of 25th July 2021. So it’s halved in price in 6 months on Amazon. Great value now.

**Q: Is this a scam? Why the £200.54 delivery fee?**
A: Check who is selling it - there’s many scalpers selling for £200+ over RRP

**Q: Does this processor come with the code for far cry 6 in the box or is it sent out by amazon, how would i go about getting the code?**
A: Yes, you'll get an email from amazon shortly after you buy the CPU. Then you must run an AMD system check to confirm you have installed the CPU and the game is yours....at least it will be when it releases in 2021.
