**Q: How strong is the smell?  Is it ammonia based?**
A: Smell is not as strong as most perms.  Yes, it is ammonia based.

**Q: Can I use this to curl my ends for loose, romantic curls or is this for tight curls?**
A: I've never used a perm on just my ends.  But for a loose curl, you will use a large rod.  The smaller rods are for tighter curls.
