Review: Sturdy as always - As always with Rubbermaid products, you can expect a sturdy, well-made product. I bought 2 of these and I give them 4 1/2 stars, despite a few minor problems. Though it says 'leak resistant', one does leak a bit. Also, I don't love the way the lids fit. They have a 'stop', but it's not flush with the front of the pitcher, which is odd. However, these have a nice, large handhold, which is one of the things I wanted. I was dropping my other containers which didn't have a handhold. This handhold is large and comfy, easy to hold onto. Be aware that the pitchers are very tall. They barely fit on my bottom shelf in the fridge. I have to slightly lift the shelf above in order to get them in because the lip of the shelf blocks them. So check the height of your shelf against the height of the pitcher before you buy. I also don't love the spout cover. It flips up fine, but it stays popped up at an angle, so when the pitcher if half full or less and you have to really tilt the pitcher, the spout cover can get in the way. Would be better with a spout cover that swings to the side or flips all the way back. Some reviewers commented on a smell of bad taste. The label clearly says 'wash before using'. I washed them. No smell or bad taste. They have a wide, open top which makes them easy to clean. Pour in hot, soapy water, put the lid on and shake vigorously. All in all, I highly recommend these. I live in Texas and drink a lot of water, so keeping these gallon pitchers in my fridge is really nice. Review: You must push the top where the circle is to open the lid. - At this time I have mixed feelings on the lid of this product. I keep trying to push the front end up and that’s not working well, it’s not designed to work that way. The correct way is to push down the far end of the white section of the lid where the circle is. Then it works great. Also you have to push it down firmly enough so the lid stays open to pour. Once I got that in my head it was great. I like the shape of the container because it takes up less refrigerator space. The handle is incorporated into the container so it’s sturdy and easy to use. 3-24 UPDATE after using the product for a while now I really like it. No other family member ever had any issues with the container. Once I got used to it I had no problems. Recommend 🙂 ## Features - Rubbermaid pitcher is designed for easy mixing, serving, and storing - Leak-resistant lids are designed to prevent spills while you're pouring or mixing drinks - Ideal for making drinks from mixes, or as a sangria pitcher or lemonade pitcher - Comfortable, pinch-grip side handle is designed for easy pouring; large lid opening makes filling easy - Plastic pitcher is BPA-free and dishwasher-safe - Made in the USA ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B098FJ9X6Y | | Additional Features | Lightweight | | Best Sellers Rank | #24,772 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #110 in Jugs | | Brand | Rubbermaid | | Brand Name | Rubbermaid | | Capacity | 2 quarts | | Color | Clear | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 5,928 Reviews | | Included Components | Pitcher, Lid | | Item Dimensions W x H | 6.83"W x 10.87"H | | Item Type Name | Pitcher | | Item Weight | 5 ounces | | Manufacturer | Rubbermaid | | Manufacturer Part Number | 2122603 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Warranty | | Material | Plastic | | Material Features | Dishwasher Safe | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | Mixermate | | Model Number | 2122603 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pitcher Form | General Use Pitcher | | Shape | Round | | Special Feature | Lightweight | | Style | Pitcher | | Style Name | Pitcher | | UPC | 071691529125 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Rubbermaid - **Capacity:** 2 quarts - **Color:** Clear - **Material:** Plastic - **Special Feature:** Lightweight ## Images ![2122603 Mixermate™ Leak-Resistant Pitcher - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61Exyt2JE8L.jpg) ![2122603 Mixermate™ Leak-Resistant Pitcher - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/6168DGKozBL.jpg) ![2122603 Mixermate™ Leak-Resistant Pitcher - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/617emtiKGSL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the plastic recycling number on this?** A: Thank you for choosing Rubbermaid. The seal on the top works exceptionally well with no leaking at all. As mentioned by others, the pouring spout opening is not intuitive. What looks like nothing more than a decorative circle on the opposite side of the spout is where you are supposed to firmly--and I mean FIRMLY push down, causing the spout to pop open. On receipt, the pitcher had a horrible, horrible smell and water poured from it was putrid, almost as though it had been sitting in the warehouse for months and months with no air getting to it. It took multiple washings by hand and in the dishwater to get it to the point where it could be used. After a concentrated effort at cleaning it over several days, it was usable. Despite this difficulty, I would recommend this product. It fits well in the refrigerator and is a handy size. ## Frequently Bought Together - Rubbermaid® 2122603 Mixermate™ Leak-Resistant Pitcher - GoodCook 1 Quart Bottle – BPA Free Mixing Pitcher with Lid, Snap Lock Easy Pour Lid, Drink Containers for Fridge, Liquid Storage Container, Jugs for Drinks, Plastic Bottles with Lids - Rubbermaid 071691309215 1776349 2 Quart Servin' Saver Bottle, 1-Pack, Red, Plastic --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/418478402-2122603-mixermate-leak-resistant-pitcher](https://www.desertcart.no/products/418478402-2122603-mixermate-leak-resistant-pitcher) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
