Think about it- you're sitting on a bunch of horizontal metal coil springs wrapped in paper and other non-soft material. So, if you're still reading, you're asking yourself "why did this guy give it five stars?" I'll tell you why- because it allows air flow. If butt sweat was the Joker, this device would be Batman. Nothing like being glued to a vinyl seat in summertime and this keeps you from getting stuck quite effectively and lets your a/c get under and behind you enough to keep you from being miserable. I get several years of use out of each one, this is a necessity for me at work. I use it year-round, it helps keep your rump thawed a little bit in winter as well by permitting warm air to circulate. It's not magic, but it beats the heck out of the discomfort of vinyl and I don't think it makes the shape of the seat any less comfortable. I wouldn't recommend using it on cloth seats because they're already breathable.

**Q: Will this keep your back cool?**
A: Somewhat.  Depends on your experience with older similar products.  I have a large SUV with non-ventilated leather seats - and some sort of cushion - especially in the hot months - is a requirement.  In the past, I've used similar seat cushions I bought at the local auto parts stores and I'd just replace when they wore out.  No longer available that I've found, so turned to Amazon.  The older ones I used definitely would allow for ventilation all the way around - the whole reason I would buy these things.  This one is the first one from this company and from Amazon I've tried, and I have to say my experience is only moderate ventilation is provided - primarily I think because of the tightness of the weave and perhaps the level of 'suspension' provided by the coils within the cushion (plastic versus the old metal coils).  It's better than nothing, but I can't say it's equal to the older model cushions I've used.

**Q: Are these suitable for leather seats or Will these damage leather seats?**
A: At first, they should work fine for leather seats.  As the cushion wears, there could be pieces exposed that you might not want to take a chance on damaging your leather seats.  If you a smaller person who sits lightly on the cushion, it would probably work longer than for someone larger who slides in and out heavily, so to speak.

**Q: Would a damp bathing suit seep through this cushion?**
A: Water from damp swimwear wouldn't seep all the way through to the protected surface; but, if the swimwear were dripping wet, then yes, it probably would reach the seat.  This ventilated seat cushion is basically just designed to provide air ventilation, not so much liquid absorption.  Toweling the swimwear, before sitting, should be enough to keep the protected seat dry.

**Q: Why are the dimensions the same for all three sizes of Koolkushion?**
A: The King is 17 x 34 inches as opposed to the standard which is 15.5 x34 inches other than that I don't know good luck

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Falls apart too soon

What I like about this cushion is that it provides cooling relief when used on my forklift. What I didn’t like is that it fell apart too soon (after a month) of use. It is not meant for a delivery person or a forklift driver who has to get in & out of their seat several times during the day. It would be more ideal for long duration of sitting time. It provided circulation & prevented ‘diaper rash’ for me so it was worth the price & I will have to make another purchase when each one wears out.
