Hey, we're not talking Waterford crystal here. These are very basic everyday drinking glasses. They are exactly the size and shape I wanted, perfect for a highball or iced tea. Straight-sided, heavy enough at the bottom, appear to be sturdy enough for normal use. I kept expecting them to explode into fragments in my hand, after reading all the terrible reviews. I really don't think they're fragile; they're kind of thick. If anything, they are probably sturdier than they need to be. I think I have a glass fetish. My husband and I used to buy dozens of glasses at factory outlet stores. I have many more than I need - some delicate, some plebeian, like these. I took out 4 of these for immediate use, the rest will stay in the box for future needs.
