Review: GREAT FOR LAZY GAME MASTERS - I had a session in person planned as a DM. As usual I procrastinated, and waited till the last minute for session preparation.. Thankfully this DM screen came in clutch! Same day delivery, 5e AND Pathfinder compatable notes and ques! It has everything you need regardless of what TTRPG you have in store. The laminate is dry erase compatible and the material is sturdy and durable. For 20 bucks this was a steal. I'm recommending this to my other friends who want to get into being a game master!
Review: Dimensions are weird, but it’s nice - The inserts it comes with are completely useless to me. Reference-sheets are cool and for someone new to D&D it might be nice, but I’m not new so they aren’t. Some people like to make to make things awful for themselves and DM more than 4 players so it’s frustrating that the player reference sheet only supports 4. I do not see myself ever using these sheets ever, I’d rather make my own. Save for the “tome” covers, those look nice and I was expecting those to be baked onto the screen itself. To see that EVERY side is customizable is very nice. Especially when you can use dry erase markers. That said, the dimensions of the sleeves are also strange and while the given inserts fit them just fine (after some effort), regular letter-size (8.5”x11”) paper will leave room on the sides while exactly hitting the top of the sleeves, which looks very strange. If you can somehow get something closer to 9.5” x 10.5” it might look significantly better. But I find it ironic that despite having sleeves like this they aren’t that well-suited to the most common printer dimensions. It’s not as friendly for the DIY crowd as you’d think. Oh and you have to fold this up in a VERY specific order. It does not like being folded the wrong way and you’ll know when you get it wrong within seconds of trying to pack it up. To be honest though, these are nitpicks at best. It’s still the best I could find and is legitimately good for the price. If you do like doing DIY stuff and want a similar “vibe” of fantasy-styled paper for your own inserts, look into Homebrewery. If you are willing to learn its specific flavor of markdown you can get inserts that look VERY close to these but with more customizability.

**Q: Can you take out the front panel "art" and put in some sheets for the players?**
A: Yes!  The outside and inside panels have sleeves that you can slide whatever you want to in them.

**Q: Where exactly is the color of the product? When you say brown, where is it brown? [The image suggests it is only the center of the "jewel" image.]**
A: The entire screen is in the chosen color. The jewels are on removable sheets that are included. Just to note, it also came with sheets for Pathfinder that can be flipped over and used with 5e D&d. Some are saying it only comes with Pathfinder sheets which is untrue.

**Q: How has the screen held up? Give us an update after 6 months.**
A: I have owned mine for years and it is still in fine condition.  Pre 2020, it was used 2 - 4 times a month.   A friend bought one on my recommendation and it was falling apart in about 6 months.  Here is THE THING: being vinyl, it is susceptible to certain environmental factors.
-Mine seldom left my house; his was often in his car for weeks on end.
- Mine never experinced wide fluctuations in  tempurature; his was in his car during the summer and in the winter. (The cold especially seemed to make it brittle.)
- in addition to the above, my friend's often sat in direct sunlight (car).
Trying to repair the thing with tape is also not a good idea.  Adhesives usual contain some type of chloride which effects the vinyl.
I am very happy with how mine has lasted.
BTW, I have not used anything other than mild soap (castile) and water to clean mine. I transfer relevant notes to my campaign logs and clean it after every session.
My buddy used windex and other similar cleaners and the clear covers got cloudy in a lot of places.  He also often put it away without cleaning it. It also became stained.

**Q: Does this DM screen come in landscape format as well?**
A: I don’t believe it does.

I’ve had this screen for about 18 months and thought it was time I write a review. First, I bought this primarily due to the fact that both sides of every panel can be customized with my own inserts. I’ve never found a DM screen that has exactly the information I want and this allowed me to make inserts that perfectly meet my needs. It also allowed me to put campaign related artwork facing the players. It works great for that. I can’t comment much on the inserts included as I briefly glanced at them, saw they had things I don’t want and tossed them. Others might find to them useful, but as I said, I bought this so I could make it meet my preferences. I like the size of it, but I always have a large table and like a lot of space, so this is great for me. I also like a tall set of screens to shield my references from wandering eyes. But, I know some have less space, prefer shorter screens, or otherwise might find this too large. Each panel is taller and wider than a letter sized sheet of paper, so it’s not small. Finally, after 18 months of use, I wanted to on durability. We play every other weekend. So, at this point I’ve unpacked and repacked it less than 50 times. And, seams where it folds have started to break apart. One of the clear covers on each side have started to break away so they will no longer properly hold an insert. I suppose that for the price getting 40-50 sessions out of it isn’t bad. But, if you are looking for a DM screen that will last years, this isn’t it. But, if you want your own inserts with the information you prefer and to be able to display your choice of art, this is great! Of course, I’d prefer it lasted longer, but my priority is customization at a reasonable price and this meets my needs better than any other screen I’ve found.
