I'm sorry but I can't give you a measurement until tomorrow **Q: is the top portion of the funnel flexible so that I can fit it in-between 2 tanks while I am filling the one tank?** A: The funnel is made out of semi-rigid plastic that will resume its shape if you squeeze it to fit between two tanks. I checked the one I have and it's about 7 3/4 inch wide at the top opening of the funnel. The funnel can be distorted to ~ 6 inches in width if you are trying to get it into a space that wide. Anything tighter than that risks cracking and damaging the funnel permanently.
