It detects LED voltage on Christmas tree lights from about 5 inches away... you may find your meter has feelings, but mine seems to not care about sensitivity.. it just indicates voltage is present. **Q: Do the Battery Test selections test under load?** A: The M4KOR model does the 1.5v - 9v - 12v battery tests each is under a small load, and does test the battery voltage as part of the DC volts ranges.
