Is this dishwasher safe? In one place it says hand wash only, in another place it says put in dishwasher?? Which is correct?

I’ve only ever needed to wash it under the tap. If you put it in the dishwasher it would stop water spraying around I would have thought. Under the tap or with a wipe gets it clean.

Is it suitable to use under a toaster oven, or would that be considered extended use in a high heat environment?

It should be fine, Silicone withstands high temperatures but the underneath of a toaster oven only gets warm anyway or it would damage your kitchen worktop

Can you iron clothes on this?

Definitely NOT, that's not it's intended purpose. You would be better to look for table top ironing pads. Hope this helps
