I keep it under my bed and use flea drops for the cats. in between the two it seems to keep fleas out of the house. It's especiallyimportant during the flea season here in Florida. Fleas become immune to the chemicals in the flea drops, so you have to keep switching around. Flea traps keep working all the time. Very simple, plug them in with a little night light bulb. You can put them anywhere in the house, But in a dark area they work 24/7.
