Is this blanket soft?

if you mean soft as a fleece blanket is soft, the answer is no. It's not something you will want to cuddle up with, but it will keep you warm

slipcover for loveseat?

You would definitely need more than one. Also it wouldn’t be an easy fabric to sew. It’s woven. One would lay on the back and cushions well but wouldn’t reach the arms.

Is this supposed to come with a huge hole in it? In multiple spots?

Mine did not come with any holes. The weave is kind of loose, but there were no visable holes.

I want to order the gray one. What color is the fringe? White or beige?

I bought the navy and the fringe was a creamy/natural color. It was really pretty. I used the one I bought as a wedding gift. They loved it.
