Use Sparex No. 2 for removing surface oxidation, scale and pickling gold, silver and copper based alloys. Non-flammable and non-explosive. 2-1/2 lb. bag. Review: Perfect pickle! - Works great. Lasts a long time. Review: Surprisingly good - I put this in a wax warmer as I didn't have anything else around and only needed a tiny amount. It worked great for my soldering. I then used it to clean an antique silver compact that had black spots on it. I figured it couldn't hurt. To my surprise the black spots rubbed right off. Well, they are light brown now at least so I think I just need to leave it in longer, according to the experts. Don't get it on you because it hurts! Some got on my finger - ow. Lastly, like many have said, the bag was split and contents spilled into the box. I hope they start putting it in an extra bag. ## Features - Pickling compound for flux removal after soldering - Country Of Origin: United States - Model Number: PLSPARE2.5 - Item Package Dimension: 9.0" L x 2.0" W x 5.0" H ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000HYMPZW | | Best Sellers Rank | #95,233 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #106 in Abrasive Finishing Compounds | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (679) | | Date First Available | August 8, 2006 | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Weight | 2.5 pounds | | Item model number | PLSPARE2.5 | | Manufacturer | Krohn | | Material | metal | | Part Number | SPAREX 2.5 | | Product Dimensions | 9 x 2 x 5 inches | | Size | 2-1/2 lb | ## Images ![Pickling Compound Sparex 2-1/2 lb Bag - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61gSqu-bkOL.jpg) ![Pickling Compound Sparex 2-1/2 lb Bag - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Q0Ede0HwL.jpg) ![Pickling Compound Sparex 2-1/2 lb Bag - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51bGMUyvshL.jpg) ![Pickling Compound Sparex 2-1/2 lb Bag - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51WqzbzE6oL.jpg) ![Pickling Compound Sparex 2-1/2 lb Bag - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61vdMB7RdyL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect pickle! *by E***S on October 18, 2025* Works great. I decided to give it a try and there's no way I could tell if this is used or new. It works just as good as any I've used and I always use this brand. I got a two and a half bag for the price similar to the 10oz bags I usually buy. Hope this helps. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pickling Compound Sparex 2-1/2 lb Bag - Copper Tongs, 8- 1/2 Curved - Aquiflux Self Pickling Flux for Precious Metals Gold Silver Jewelry and Hard Soldering 8 Oz Megacast (275 ml) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/4037965-pickling-compound-sparex-2-1-2-lb-bag](https://www.desertcart.no/products/4037965-pickling-compound-sparex-2-1-2-lb-bag) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
