It is commonly purchased with a long stroke air hammer such as the Astro 4980. One thing you don't want to overlook is that the chisel in this set has an unusual shaft design, to prevent it from rotating inside the chuck. With a chisel that's a good thing, but note that the stock retaining spring on Big Nasty (Astro 4980 air hammer) doesn't fit that style of bit. So either get the optional quick change retainer or consider a different set of bits. I wish the 0.498 shank bits were more readily available, especially in the long 18" size (hammer and chisel). Auto technicians use those long sizes all the time.
