**Q: Can this be used for automotive pourposes?**
A: Yes, multimeter is ac or dc, and also has a continuity function which is very helpful, when checking 12 volt circuits

**Q: Does it measure microfarads on capacitors**
A: No.

**Q: Does it do dc amperage?**
A: No it dosnt i found that out the hard way. I found one from southwire that does works great

**Q: I work in the hvac field and would need to check capacitance. Would it make sense to purchase this?**
A: it will check compacitors, difficult to read when working on hvac
