We had a leaking joint in our gutters. I figured it would be a good idea to put this tape over the join. It definitely works. In fact I doubt the gutter will ever come apart again. Ever. If you are wondering if this will fix a leak, then don't worry, this is fit for purpose. The only real worry is if you need to remove it later. Initially it struggled to stick to itself, let alone complete the repair. The tape must be warm. I was trying to use it in cold contions where it struggled to stick to itself. I used a hot air gun to warm the area for the patch and the tape. Once everything was warm, the result I required was achieved. It does stick very well and has achieved a watertight seal.
