Review: Nice shiney paint - Goes on well and has a nice shine to it Review: I can't rave enough about this stuff! - I ordered this in silver and LOVE it! If you're looking for a mirror kind of metallic finish, this isn't for you. This is very shiny and almost glitter like. It's crazy because you can see the silver flakes as you spray it on but it doesn't make a crazy mess. What's crazier is you pretty much can't mess up with this stuff! It doesn't run like normal paint! And once it dries it's not like some sort of cheap glitter spray that comes off when you touch it. When you spray it, it stays... **Updating this to say I ordered more- this stuff is amazing still! I'm going to use it to paint a display case because it's so easy to work with! I'm HORRIBLE at painting and always get drips but not with this stuff! The one thing I can say is if you're planning on spraying glass i'm not sure about the durability.. I bought this to spray the insides of purple mason jars with and tried spraying water droplets in there to get a "mercury glass" effect... It didn't work out for me so after it dried I got a scrubber and it came right off and that was a couple of days later even... BUT that being said I cleaned the jar out and resprayed it directly on the glass with nothing else and it bonded a bit better. If it's not going to be rubbed or touched then it should stay on... So spraying the insides of jars and such should be just fine. As far as drying time, it is CRAZY fast! It dries quicker than anything i've seen.. I'm not sure if the same results carry across with every color but with silver it dried so fast that I only waited a couple minutes between coats! DEFINITELY will buy again! ## Features - RICH METALLIC SHINE: Creates an ultra-bright, reflective appearance on interior surfaces for decorative and accent projects. - REAL METAL FLAKES: Leafing formula contains actual metal flakes to produce a brilliant, shiny metal look. - MULTI-SURFACE APPLICATION: Apply to interior wood, metal, plaster, masonry, and unglazed ceramic surfaces. - DECORATIVE ACCENT PROJECTS: Ideal for picture frames, candle holders, holiday decorations, scrapbook projects, crafts, and home décor. - NO CLEAR TOP COAT: Do not apply a clear coating or topcoat sealer because it may dull the bright, reflective appearance. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000QD3GPW | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,527 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #18 in Spray Paint | | Brand | Rust-Oleum | | Brand Name | Rust-Oleum | | Color | Gold | | Color Code | Gold | | Container Type | container | | Coverage | 12 sq ft | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 11,452 Reviews | | Dry Time In Hours | 0.25 | | Finish Type | Metallic | | Full Cure Time | 24 hours | | Included Components | Rust-Oleum 1910830 Specialty Metallic Leafing Spray Paint, 11 Ounce (Pack of 1), Gold | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor | | Is Waterproof | False | | Item Form | Aerosol | | Item Type Name | Rust-Oleum 340647 Specialty Metallic Spray, 11 oz, Gold | | Item Volume | 11 fluid ounces | | Item Weight | 10.9 ounces | | Manufacturer | Rust-Oleum | | Model Name | Specialty Metallic Leafing Spray Paint | | Model Number | 340647 | | Paint Type | Acrylic | | Part Number | 1910830 | | Size | 11 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) | | Special Feature | Reflective | | Special Features | Reflective | | Specific Uses For Product | Interior | | Surface Recommendation | Wood | | UPC | 020066430856 | | Unit Count | 11 Ounce | | Warranty Description | Warranty | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Rust-Oleum - **Color:** Gold - **Finish Type:** Metallic - **Item Volume:** 11 fluid ounces - **Paint Type:** Acrylic - **Size:** 11 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) - **Special Feature:** Reflective - **Specific Uses For Product:** Interior - **Surface Recommendation:** Wood - **Unit Count:** 11 Ounce ## Images ![Rust-Oleum Metallic Gold Spray Paint - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81VPjXgC5dL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can this paint be used on the mouth to gain entry to Valhalla?** A: Mine is a heart of carnelian, crimson as murder on a holy day. Behold, the golden and silver spray from Rustoleum! Se, den gyllene och silver spray från Rustoleum! Behold the gates of Valhalla! Mine is a heart of cornel, the gnarled roots of a dogwood and the bursting of flowers. I am the broken wax seal on my lover's letters. I am the phoenix, the fiery sun, consuming and resuming myself. I pace the halls of the underworld. I knock on the doors of death. I wander into the fields to stare at the sun and lie in the grass, ripe as a fig. The souls of the gods are with me. Behold, Rust-Oleum. Praise. Själarna av gudarna är med mig. Se, Rust-Oleum. Beröm. **Q: This spray I can use for paint my fiancé please let me know.** A: No. To be safe you would have to use special gold body makeup and a special air brush sprayer to spray your fiancé gold or any other color for that matter. Also in the interest of safety, both you and your fiancé will need to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) including respirators, air tight goggles and latex gloves (for you). You may want to wear a paint suit and shoe protection as will as a plastic hood to protect your hair. Ensure that you have proper ventilation if you plan to do this indoors by opening all windows in the room where this is done. Lay down a plastic tarp on the floor and close the doors to the room to minimize overspray. This still begs the question: why do you want to paint your fiancé? Just because you can does not mean you should. I personally advise against it unless your fiancé has a specific reason why they want to be painted, for example if they were going to participate in a parade or something of that nature, however I still do not personally recommend that you spray paint your fiancé. **Q: Has anyone used it on fabric? What is the finish like? Hard or flexible?** A: I would say no. Its hard and chips. Not flexible. Its probably ruin the fabric. I used it on metal and a tape covered lamp to no success. **Q: Is the spray paint water resistant?** A: When Allowed To Cure, Yes It Is (for paint to cure properly, it's usually 72 hours---should say on can). ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice shiney paint *by L***S on September 15, 2026* Goes on well and has a nice shine to it ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't rave enough about this stuff! *by M***N on December 28, 2017* I ordered this in silver and LOVE it!
