On console, you have to go with Thrustmaster accessories if you’re going to add-on an H-Shifter or handbrake, so look those up and keep that in mind if you think you’ll want to upgrade your setup. The force feedback on this wheel is quite something. It truly needs to be experienced to understand how immersive it makes racing games feel. It feels very accurate to whatever terrain you're driving on and to whatever objects I'm hitting or crashing into. However, if you are about to hit a car head on, you will feel it before it happens (millisecond) which is a little strange The feedback also changes depending on the vehicle I'm driving. The LCD display on the wheel can be customized to display whatever you like. I prefer RPMs which will blink when it is time to shift. I find this to be the most useful reading for racing about. The paddle shifters are necessary for emersion. They have a nice tactile click that some reviewers complain as loud. I have the surround sound blasting, so the entire experience is already loud. I don't mind it. The shifts are fast and precise. The pedals feel nice and have an appropriate amount of feedback and response to pressure. The brake pedal seems a little on the stiff side, but you get used to it. I do believe the spring in the brake pedal can be changed. If you're thinking about buying this, do it. **Q: Is the wheel able be removed from the base?**
A: This racing wheel can not be removed from the servo base on the T248.

**Q: How does this compare to the t300rs gt?**
A: Generally belt drives are quieter and can often provide higher FFB torque.
T300 has ~4nm of torque
T248 has 70% more torque than the T150 (from the TM docs/video) so that would seem to be about 2.1 * 1.70 = ~3.6nm
But different drive wheels are hard to compare on just torque values alone. Belt drives generally have better holding torque, while geared wheels can sometime produce better vibration like peaky force. TM is I guess trying to get the best of both worlds with their hybrid wheels.
FFB is more than just torque, wheel speed and granularity can matter a lot. The motor drivers from one wheel can be better than another

**Q: What shifters are compatible with with this thrustmaster wheel?**
A: The T248 comes with paddle shifters.  If you would like to add a manual shifter, we recommend the TH8A shifter from Thrustmaster.

**Q: Will it work with a 220V outlet? Will I need a transformer?**
A: The adapter is rated for 100-240V. All you need is a plug adapter to fit into the electric socket.

Before buying, be aware that: 1. You’ll want to have Windows 10/11 on a PC, even if you’re an Xbox gamer, so that you can download essential firmware updates. Do not overlook this, even if it means bringing the wheel to a friend’s house to perform the update. As long as you have a Windows computer, it is an easy update to perform. 2. ### ⭐ Don't buy Thrustmaster

this item quit working less than 60 days after purchase. Thrustmaster would on ly repair, not replace or refund. It was returned for repair, which took longer than expected. It did not work after repairs. Again, Thrustmaster would only repair it AGAIN. Decided against wasting more time and just took the loss. Was really unhappy that Amazon would not talk to me about returning, since it was over 30 days.
