The flavor starts out as a tart green mango and when you reach the soft middle, it is filled with kala namak or black salt which is distinctly sulfuric and an acquired taste for people not from the indian subcontinent. However if you want to be reminded of childhoods spent taking raw mangoes from the tree and enjoying the sun warmed fruit dipped into the salt, then you will love these candies.

Seriously What? This is suppose to taste like Fresh Mango with tangy mango center.....not even close. Here are the flavor stages imo: Stage One: It might be mango..hmm is that menthol...something is not quite right Stage Two: gag..i taste eggs...maybe watermelon rind Stage Three: the brown powder...a cascade of salty salty something or other Stage Four: spit out... Stage Five: PSA to warn everyone
