So I have read a lot of reviews on this pump and said let’s give it a try, so I did and it worked great for me. Just one big problem with this pump is it just keeps leaking pump oil all over the place and I can’t find where it is coming from. I checked the drain plug and the mounting screws (pump housing to the motor) everything was tight.. so I have looked at the sight glass and had noticed that the level had dropped by about 1oz or so. I am going to send it back only because it just keeps leaking oil. I know that some oil blow by is normal but not after use and cleaning it up and putting on the shelf clean and dry only to pass it by on the shelf and noticed that it was leaking oil all over the place. Maybe the company should concentrate more on quality control and making sure that before the product leaves that everything is good to go and the company’s website is a bust!! No proper links to get help or to be able to get replacement parts it just says return to place of purchase.. Likes. Great pump for the price. It’s quick and easy to use and can draw 30 in of vacuum on my manifold not connected to anything and get around 28-29in of vacuum when connected to the job. Starts quickly and runs pretty quite. The inlets 1/2 in acme and the 1/4 in flare on it make it easy to adapt it to your own needs. Dislikes.. It keeps leaking oil all over the place where it is coming from I cannot see just where it is coming from. All and all the pump is a great pump for the price.. Review: Great pump for the money. - I purchased this vacuum pump for two purposes. First was to pull a vacuum on a newly installed air conditioning system. I was able to pull just a tad over 30in/Hg of vacuum which was exactly what was needed per the systems recommendations. It was able to achieve this in just a few seconds, and was able to hold the vacuum for over 30 minutes even after being shut off. The pump has since then lived its life connected to a vacuum former that I use to make firearm holsters, mag pouches and knife sheaths. The pump again achieves 30in/Hg of vacuum on a regular basis. The supplied bottle of oil has lasted for just under a year, and I expect it to last another 6 months at minimum. The pump is fairly quite, and works quickly. The fittings are standard with clean brass threads. ## Features - ✅High Performance - The Kozyvacu Vacuum Pump for AC repair tools delivers excellent performance with a high flow rate of 4.5 CFM, making it a perfect choice for Car AC or HVAC applications. - ✅Versatile - This vacuum pump is versatile, ideal for both workshop applications like HVAC, Auto AC, and automotive systems, and widely used in household and commercial tasks such as refrigeration maintenance, printing machinery, and vacuum packaging, e-poxy resin degassing, wine degassing, thermoforming. - ✅Easy to Use - The vacuum pump comes with an AC vacuum pump kit, making it easy to set up and use. I wonder which it is? That is nearly a 400% difference. **Q: What is the warranty?** A: One year warranty. please refer to www.kozyvacu.com website for details **Q: What is needed to pull an R12 AC system** A: This will work on r12 or r134a. **Q: does it have anti-siphon valve in event power to pump is disrupted?** A: The seller must not know but this has NO CHECK VALVE, NO ANTI SIPHONING. Trust me, I've used this several times and I like to put mine on a timer. I found out the hard way. A bunch of oil spilled back in my vacuum chamber and lost over $500 worth of product. Kozyard LLC must not care that people use these things on equipment that will cost a lot of money if they tell us a bold face lie. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good pump for a fair price. *by J***E on September 15, 2018* So I had to get a vacuum pump that can handle multiple jobs and not have to worry about it being able to handle the work load. The directions include an "oil flush" procedure, so I filled the pump with oil, ran the pump for 1 minute, then drained the oil . The pump only came with one bottle of oil, and it took the entire bottle to fill up the pump, so now the pump is empty, and I have no oil to refill it for use. I bet the company who designed this pump package is still laughing about it. Well, now I have a properly flushed pump, that I can't use. Also, I needed the pump to vacuum bag a carbon fiber part, but I couldn't find anything online, or in my local hardware store, that would adapt either the 1/4 male flare or 1/2 male acme fittings on the pump to a regular straight or pipe thread. I needed a 3/8 barbed fitting to come off the pump to hook up the vacuum tubing, and hours of searching for an adapter revealed nothing. Edit 12/11/2018: I was able to find vacuum pump oil at a local auto parts store, though there were no specifications on either the pump directions included in the box, or the oil bottle I bought. They were also different colors (the oil provided was light amber, the oil I found is clear). I ran the pump with the 2nd fill of oil, and it ran great. It does shoot a lot of oil fog out of the air exhaust while pulling down to final vacuum pressure, but I detected no oil fog exhaust while the pump ran once the system was at full vacuum pressure. The gauge I used at 170' AGL on a cool, clear night showed a full 30.00" of Hg (I know, max is 29.92 at standard ATP). Since the pump works, and pulls a full vacuum, I upped my rating to four stars. The problem of the manufacturer supplying only enough oil to flush the pump, and not enough to actually use the pump, took off the 5th star. ## Frequently Bought Together - Kozyvacu Single-Stage HVAC Vacuum Pump, 4.5CFM - Ideal for AC Repair Tools, Car AC Vacuum Pump, AC Vacuum Pump Kit, and Recovery Machine HVAC - Also Known as Bomba de Vacio A/C (TA450) - TSI Supercool Vacuum Pump Oil, Synthetic, 32 Oz., Clear (V32) - Refrigeration Technologies RT201B Nylog Gasket/Thread Sealant, 30 ml (1 Pack) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/39477145-single-stage-hvac-vacuum-pump-4-5cfm-ideal-for-ac](https://www.desertcart.no/products/39477145-single-stage-hvac-vacuum-pump-4-5cfm-ideal-for-ac) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
