My flowers have more blooms, brighter, the leaves are darker green. Review: NO FUNGUS GNATS!!! - This is pricey, but great soil. I'm never going back to that cheaper brand that takes a "miracle" to get rid of the fungus gnats once you open the bag. I'm getting great results starting seedlings in old yogurt cups and a 50/50 mix of Happy Frog and coconut coir and then planting them in full strength Happy Frog. ## Features - NOURISH PLANTS IN EVERY POT: FoxFarm potting soil is ready to use for all your container plants, whether indoors or outdoors. Ocean Forest is richer in nitrogen from the added blend of crab meal, fish emulsion, and bat guano (no need to add nitrogen fertilizer at first). Happy Frog has mycorrhizae and is amended with soil microbes to improve root development and encourage nutrient uptake. Happy Frog also has less perlite than Ocean Forest so it will hold more water. Both Ocean Forest and Happy Frog are premium soils. **Q: What is this soil made from/out of?** A: The ingredients include soil microbes, earthworm castings, bat guano, and aged forest products. **Q: Does it come in the original packaging or does it come in a box or bag? I can't have it left outside my apartment door with it saying potting soil** A: Your apartment building doesn't allow potting soil? What do they expect you to grow your weed in? ;) Mine came inside an amazon box **Q: Would this mix good with fox farm trio nutrients?** A: Yes it would. Fox Farm has a feeding schedule you can follow on their website, I would recommend doing half of dosages and work up to recommend dose. I didn’t start feeding till 3rd week of life. Hope this helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Happy Frog *by A***R on June 11, 2026* Happy Frog is the best potting soil. My flowers have more blooms, brighter, the leaves are darker green. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ NO FUNGUS GNATS!!! *by D***S on October 3, 2025* This is pricey, but great soil. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Some of the best commercial potting soil available! *by S***N on July 12, 2022* No matter what plants you are growing, Happy Frog by FoxFarm potting soil is some of the best you can buy. The only thing better would be ProSoil Mix which is expensive and can be finicky if you buy it from the wrong vendor. I use a seed starter mix or jiffy pods for all my seeds, no matter what I am growing. Once roots start to show, into Happy Frog they go! The great thing about Jiffy Pods is that you are not disturbing the roots like you would in a tray of dirt. Less transplant shock and once roots push out the side, you know its time to transplant into Happy Frog! Within 7 days you will see a transformation in color, width and height. You can get similar results with a good feeding system and poor dirt/plain coco coir, but why do that when Happy Frog gives you everything it needs for the first month? Ive used dozens and only 2-3 others can compare to quality and being bug free. Ive never had a gnat problem using Happy Frog. Thats worth the purchase price right there! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/39459675-foxfarm-happy-frog-potting-soil-12-quart-2-pack](https://www.desertcart.no/products/39459675-foxfarm-happy-frog-potting-soil-12-quart-2-pack) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
