How many pieces are in the package?

hello my friend in our package has 20pcs

I don't know if the adhesive on these would be sticking up for the bottom of shoes?

There are not made to be used with any type of footwear.

Could this be utilized for the bottom of a soap tray to prevent it from sliding around on a shower shelf?

Absolutely it would work on a soap tray. You can cut to any length and use them in myriad ways. I place 1/2 inch or 12cm pieces on the backside lower corners of framed pictures and wall hangings. Once I level them, they do not slide out of level because the nice rubber holds them in place. Anywhere I need some "invisible" cushion or protection they are super.
