Can this be flushed in a septic system?

Yes,but a lot of water. The best way is to throw it into the trash can.

Does this also help keep bugs away?

This powder can reduce most of the odor when solidifying liquids. Compared to the untreated liquid, it does help to keep bugs away to some extent.

What are the chemicals in this product?

The chemicals in this product include superabsorbent polymers, which are similar to the absorbent components found in diapers.

With the liners, I don’t think you would need the powder for poo.
