It’s so versatile and can be used for whatever you need it for. I specifically use it for my plants, and let’s be honest who actually measures out the exact 1-gallon ratio every time? I love that you can set the amount you want to use without having to dilute the product with water. That means if you have some left over, you can simply put it back into the original bottle instead of having a diluted mixture sitting in another container. It also makes it easy to switch between different products without the hassle. The different measurement settings are great and make it easy to mix exactly what you need. I highly recommend this! Since using it for my plants, I’ve noticed a big improvement in their overall health. Before this, I’m pretty sure I was slowly killing them! Review: Effortless Lawn Care Perfection! - The Ortho Dial N Spray Hose-End Sprayer has become my go-to tool for keeping my lawn and garden in top shape, and I’m beyond impressed with how easy and effective it is! Whether I’m tackling weeds, pests, or fertilizing my plants, this sprayer takes all the guesswork out of the process. It’s a total time-saver and delivers flawless results every time—hands down, a five-star product! Pros: • No Mixing, No Mess: Just pour your liquid concentrate into the jar, set the dial, and spray. It’s so simple—I’ve never had a spill or wasted product, which is a huge win compared to manual mixing. • Versatile Spray Patterns: The three options—broadcast, jet, and shower—are perfect for any job. I use broadcast for my lawn, jet for high tree branches (it reaches up to 25 feet!), and shower for my delicate flowers. Each one works like a charm. • Precise Dilution Settings: With 14 settings from 1 teaspoon to 8 ounces per gallon, I can dial in the exact strength I need. It’s automatic and consistent, so I know my plants are getting the right treatment every time. • Comfortable Design: The extended-grip handle keeps my hands dry, and the ergonomic trigger feels great even after long sessions. Plus, the rotating hose connector makes it super easy to maneuver. • Anti-Backflow Bonus: I love that it prevents chemicals from flowing back into my hose—peace of mind for safety and water purity. Cons: • Slight Leak Potential: If you don’t secure the hose connection tightly (or add an extra washer), it might drip a little at first. It’s an easy fix, but worth mentioning. • Pickup Tube Could Be Better: The rigid tube sometimes struggles to suck up the last bit of concentrate unless I hold it perfectly level. A flexible, weighted tube would be an upgrade. • Loud Jet Setting: The jet spray is powerful but noisy—fine for me, but it might startle pets or neighbors if you’re not careful. This sprayer has made lawn care feel like less of a chore and more of a breeze. It’s durable, user-friendly, and delivers professional-level precision without the hassle. Whether you’re a gardening newbie or a seasoned pro, the Ortho Dial N Spray is a fantastic investment—five stars all the way! ## Features - THREE SPRAY PATTERNS: Choose from 3 spray patterns with this garden hose sprayer to tackle any task: broadcast across wide areas, jet for reaching high places or tough rinse jobs, or a gentle shower for delicate plants and flowers - GARDEN SPRAYER WITH A COMFORTABLE DESIGN: Enjoy comfortable and efficient application thanks to the ergonomically designed trigger, extended-grip handle & rotating hose connector, plus an anti-backflow device that protects your home water system - PRECISE APPLICATION: The Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer makes it easy to spray liquid concentrates such as weed killers, insect killers, fungicides, and fertilizers by applying the exact amount every time, with no mixing, measuring, or mess. - EASY-TO-USE LAWN SPRAYER ATTACHMENT: The Ortho Dial N Spray Hose-End Sprayer makes lawn and garden care simple and mess-free in 3 easy steps, helping you achieve a beautiful yard without the fuss - DILUTION SETTINGS: With 14 dilution settings, you can easily apply the exact concentration needed with this hose attachment sprayer, from 1 tsp to 8 oz. per gallon of water, ensuring optimal results for every product ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0071D0EZK | | Best Sellers Rank | #940 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #5 in Lawn & Garden Sprayers | | Brand | Ortho | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 17,879 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00071549084103 | | Included Components | Spray Bottle, Applicator, 3 Spray Pattern Attachments | | Item Form | Spray | | Item Type Name | Hose End Sprayer | | Item Weight | 11.2 ounces | | Liquid Volume | 2 gallons | | Manufacturer | Ortho | | Model Number | 841010 | | Part Number | 841010 | | Special Features | adjustable | | Target Species | Insects, Fungi | | UPC | 071549084103 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ortho - **Item Form:** Spray - **Item Weight:** 11.2 ounces - **Liquid Volume:** 2 gallons - **Target Species:** Insects, Fungi ## Images ![Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61siP2cZMbS.jpg) ![Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81KLwhV4XDL.jpg) ![Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81yuVL67o9L.jpg) ![Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71R0RbCv3XL.jpg) ![Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71-yXRT2PVL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How many gallons does this hold?** A: The sprayer sprays 2 gallons per minute of WATER no matter what the setting. Depending on the setting, if ADDS anywhere from 0 (pure water) to 8 oz. of the contents of the bottle to each ONE GALLON of water. The appropriate setting is usually described on the product container. I typically use weed killer at 5 oz. per gallon and it works great. The bottle holds 32 oz. of liquid, which is also one quart or 1/4 gallon or about 1 liter. You can figure out how long a full bottle will last by dividing the two numbers. So for me, 32 oz./5 oz. per gallon = 6.2 gallons of concentrate, and 6.2 gallons / 2 gallons / min = 3.2 minutes of continuous spraying. I can do my whole yard with 3 bottles. Works great. NOT as good as the original version, sadly, but OK. **Q: What is the lowest dilution rate on this sprayer?** A: The lowest is 1 teaspoon and it goes up to 8 ounces. **Q: Can someone actually list all 14 settings available please? Not just the range.** A: Thank you for your question, Doug. The Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer has 14 dilution settings to automatically mix from 1 tsp to 8oz of product per gallon of water. The dilution settings are: 1 teaspoon, 1½ teaspoon, 2 teaspoons, 1 tablespoon, 4 teaspoons, 1 oz (2 tablespoons), 1½ oz (3 tablespoons), 2 oz, 2½ oz, 3 oz, 4 oz, 5⅓ oz, 6 oz, 8 oz. The Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer has 3 different spray patterns: flat (used for broadcast applications), jet (used for high pressured stream or for high places), and shower (used around vegetation and flowers). **Q: How far does this spray? Could I spray the side of a house? How far up would it get?** A: On the "jet" setting, you might get up to the 2nd story of a house, but that's marginal, You'd be better off renting a pressure washer. For 1-story, you should be fine. Neither of the "spray" settings will go more than a few feet vertically, though, so you'd only be covering a few square feet at a time where the jet hits the house. Other answers to your question seem to be from people who got bad units, or they are using them improperly. Mine works OK. Not great, but for this price, I haven't found anything better. Since I have a pressure washer, I never use this for anything but treating my lawn and garden areas, and for that it's a lot more convenient than a pressure washer, which is much larger and requires an extension cord. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must-Have for Plant Parents! *by J***L on October 1, 2026* This is a must-have! I assumed it may be a water pressure issue or maybe the hose length but decided to give the Ortho Dial N Spray a chance anyway. The Ortho hose end sprayer works well and is easy to use - no issue with product not dispering here, which is great. I like the precision of my back pack sprayer but for products that need watered in anyway, like soil amdendments or liquid dethatcher, this is a better option. I only wish there was a way to lock it in the ON position for large areas and I found screwing the part that holds the liquid on with the liquid inside was a bit annoying. Other than that, this product is great and cheap enough to try if hose end sprayer products are an issue. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ortho Dial N Spray Hose-End Sprayer for Liquid Weed and Insect Killer, Fungicide, Fertilizer with 14 Dilution Settings - Bonide Captain Jack Copper Fungicide 16 oz Concentrated Plant Disease Control Solution for Organic Gardening - Bonide All Seasons Horticultural & Dormant Spray Oil, 128 oz Concentrate, Disease Prevention and Insect Killer for Organic Gardening --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/3876898-ortho-dial-n-spray-hose-end-sprayer](https://www.desertcart.no/products/3876898-ortho-dial-n-spray-hose-end-sprayer) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
