Somaluxe Lip Collagen + Peptide Complex 0.25oz/7.4ml

Yes...this is a VERY small jar. However, as others and the seller states, you simply need a dab - not even that. A small amount goes a long way. If the dab I get is too much, I either skim it off on the jar or apply the rest on my forehead. I have noticed in the past 2 weeks that it does help my lips retain their "plumpness." The lines on my forehead are "less" deep - still there, but there is a difference. It's not a placebo effect. I do apply some chapstick or gloss after to create a seal for the day, midday, or before bed. I've barely used any in this 2-week period. The first week was simply using what was on the underside of the lid! 😅 For the price and how long it will last, I'm guessing 6 months+, I think it's worth trying. I'll give an update when I consider buying more in a few months. For now, I'll experiment with it. Update: Over 6 months after purchasing and using daily (sometimes multiple times a day), I'm finally at the end of this jar and will need to repurchase within a month. I still love it and the fact my lips have stayed plump and protected during our cold-snap! This is an amazing product, and I've upped the stars from 4 to 5 from the results!

This is a great product and it works. None of that exaggerated, duck-like effect you get with lip fillers, but it gives a subtle yet noticeable plumped effect to your lips that makes them look naturally healthy and juicy. For context, I'm a 40-year old female and over the past year I've noticed my upper lip beginning to thin and wanted something that would help my lips look plumper yet still natural. This product made an immediate difference the first day I applied it, and now I'm applying it every morning and at night before bed and will of course be ordering again. It just enhances the natural shape of your lips without the artificial effect that comes with cosmetic procedures, which is a win in my book. Added bonus: it's a great moisturizer that lasts for several hours, although I do live in a very dry climate and do need to supplement with some vaseline in between applications. Only warning: the plumping effect is temporary, so if you want an enhanced look on your lips on an ongoing basis, you need to be using it daily (I'd recommend either once or twice a day, depending on your individual needs).

3.5 stars. This is basically a good quality chapstick, more of a lip gloss. Star deduction for priciness, but it's overall pretty decent quality and I may buy again if I don't find something better. It's not going to work miracles, but it *does* do a little of what it claims to do. I have extremely dry lips. Typically when I wear lip color or regular chapstick or other similar products, my lips quickly start to flake. It's very frustrating. This product does seem to reduce (but not eliminate) that issue. I think it also does help a bit with plumping, but again, this is not a miracle product. It has a subtle but pleasant scent. I don't taste anything when I wear it. It is glossy, but not tacky. For those with less problematic lips, this would probably extend lip color when used over or under. A good product if you're realistic in your expectations. ETA: I have discovered an actual fix for my awful lips: this product, plus Avon's Beyond Color Lip Conditioner! I wish you knew how long I've been dealing with this horrible chronic chapping. So long. My lips even bled sometimes. As stated in my original review, this product did help, whereas typical glosses and chap sticks did not, but alone it was not the fix. My Avon lady kept talking up her lip conditioner, but I assumed she was just giving it props to make a sale. I later tried a Beyond Color lipstick, since this Lip Rescue had somewhat improved the chapping. I was beyond shocked that the lipstick didn't chap my lips, and even more surprised when I took it off and realized my lips were...almost normal! So I ordered the colorless Avon Lip Conditioner, and have been using it in conjunction with Lip Rescue ever since. And ya'll...my lips are just normal now. It's amazing. I use the lip conditioner a couple times a day, and put on the Lip Rescue at night.

The description that the treatment it "Fills in lip lines, and wrinkles..." (in the description), "restores lip vibrancy" and "fills lip wrinkles and lines" (on the box) imply a level of change in appearance that isn't factual. If the lips are super moisturized enough to "smooth" the small lines we get around our mouth (especially the upper lip), by definition, they are going to have a plumper appearance. This is what plumper products do. The statements for this product are believable because of the presence of collagen as the first ingredient. However, the statements regarding lines and wrinkles are misleading. The product is a very nice luxurious lip treatment. If I had needed such a product, the price of $19.54 was a good value. However, because I already have a fabulous lip routine featuring Sugar brand Advanced Lip Treatment line (sugar polish, lip mask, and everyday lip treatment), I wasn't shopping for a mere "treatment." The mention of "fine lines" is misleading for the Somaluxe Lip Collagen unless the instructions are to put the product on the skin AROUND the lips, as it does for "around the eye" (stated in the description added to the end of the sentence about fine lines, "... Fills in lip lines, wrinkles and can be applied around the eyes to infuse collagen." It seems fairly clear that it is being proposed as a treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, but that goes too far since it doesn't even plump the lips enough to hydrate the area to have any impact on the fullness of the lips nor the area around he mouth. This is a great lip product but it should be advertised for what it really does well - hydrate, soften, and protect lips from dryness - but not for improvements to the area around the lips that aren't achievable.

I've been using this for a little over a month and my lips had permanently changed. Over the years, I've used a wide range of Lip moisturizers from CVS rite aid pharmacies to Sephora to Amazon. I have super chapped lips till the point it peels hence, I have the habit to reapply lip moisturizer almost every hr and this one right here is the best one I've ever purchased. After using this, I stopped reapplying as often because my lips are permanently moisturized. This texture is not sticky or tacky, it feels like soft petroleum jelly. It smells so good, a hint of sweet coconut; not overpowering. It doesn't just act as your local lip balm. This stuff actually gets absorbed into your lips. My lips also permanently turned to a rose punch pink color since I'm pale. My lips used to look white and pale with thick dead skin, ew. I decided to write a review when I saw the pinkness in my lips. I'm so happy. This jar did more than it said. Also, FYI: I don't scrub my lips nor do I get any peeling anymore. My lips look plumped and healthy. I will be repurchasing when I finish my current jar. This should last me more than half a year. It's tiny but a lot of product is inside. However, there is one con to it. This jar is TOO tiny, I literally can't put my finger in it to get some product out of it. My nails are too long for it. Instead, I dip my lower lips into the jar to apply the product. The size of this jar is a little bigger than a 25cent quarter. But still, I finally found my secret beauty lip product. I hope this review helps :)

This is a lovely little product. It is a small container but truly a little does go a long way so the container should last you a while. After the first application I already saw a subtle difference in plumpness and lines. And every time I use the product. The scent is absolutely light and lovely. Beautiful shine. And when you apply it it feels so good and smooth. I do really enjoy using this product. We’ll see at the end of the little tub if the benefits are enough to purchase again as it is a little pricey. But it’s a lovely little product that I will definitely enjoy till the end 🖤

This really helped my aging lips!! Within a couple of days, using several times per day and before bed, the wrinkles on my lips were much much smoother. My lips stay hydrated without constantly having to reapply moisture. I do agree with other reviews that the jar opening is small which makes it hard to get out without getting it under my nails. Maybe a more shallow jar with a wider opening would be better. I highly recommend giving this lip miracle a try. I have tried many forms of lip moisturizers and this one is worth every penny. The smell is amazing, smells like fresh berries, and not that I eat this, but if I do get it in my mouth, the taste is pleasant, not like Carmex, Vaseline, or Chapstick, which is a terrible taste.

The feel and texture of this product reminds me of vaseline. It's smooth, flavorless, and scentless. It looks like a super shiny lip gloss when it's on. And it works with no burn. Takes about a month to really show results, but it does work. My lips are fuller and the little lines around my mouth have all but disappeared. I have since purchased more of this and now have one upstairs, one downstairs, and one in my purse. Highly recommend.
