Been using the Smallrig brand for a number of years and find them to be really nice to use and hard wearing pieces of essential kit for productions. I have the slightly older version of these and they are used daily - yeas actually daily and they're still absolutely perfect after at least 6 years. Versatile. Sturdy. Looks good. Lightweight and space saving.Dislike:(1) The bottom nut that tightenes the grip of the cold shoe needs a rubber ring or washer. As supplied there is metal to metal contact on the camera hot shoe which scratches the outer face of the latter.(2) One of the lugs on the ball tightening screw is too long. When used without the shoe on a tripod head it collides and cannot be tightened unless the head is tiny (no larger than 24mm diameter). Sawed mine off!Pity.
